General Situation: A cold front will exit the SE Bahamas as high pressure ridge builds north of the Bahamas through Tuesday. A second cold front will move southeastwards across South Florida, then into the NW Bahamas by Wednesday morning followed by a building high pressure ridge north of the area. As this second front moves through the Bahamas in the vicinity of the Central and SE Bahamas, while a third front will push through the United States with pre-frontal activity reaching the NW Bahamas late Friday into early Saturday. By late early Sunday, the front will reach the Central Bahamas as high pressure building in its wake.
Monday 11th – Partly sunny, breezy and warm mainly across the NW and Central Bahamas but variably cloudy and breezy with few passing showers or a vicinity thunderstorms during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and warm over most areas at night with the chance of a passing shower. Maximum temperature 82°F and a minimum temperature 73°F. Small craft should exercise caution overall areas. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots overall areas, but gusty at times. Seas 4 to 7 feet overall areas but in light to moderate NE’ly to E’ly swells over open exposed Atlantic waters.

Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later but higher in diminishing light to moderate NE’ly to E’ly swells.

Seas 5 to 8 feet across the Extreme NW Bahamas; 2 to 4 feet across the rest of the NW and Central Bahamas building to 4 to 6 feet in the Central Bahamas late and 2 to 4 feet in the SE Bahamas. Winds S to SW at 10 to 15 knots or less across the NW and Central Bahamas, but switching W to NW at 15 to 20 knots with higher gusts in the NW Bahamas and E to SE at 10 knots or less in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas but building to 4 to 7 feet in moderate NE’ly swells and 1 to 3 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Partly cloudy to fair skies and mild with the chance of showers mainly along the Central and SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 85°F and minimum temperature 70°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the NW Bahamas. Winds NW to N at 15 to 25 knots in the NW Bahamas; N’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas and variable at 10 knots in the SE Bahamas, becoming N’ly at 10 to 15 knots later. Seas 5 to 8 feet in the NW Bahamas but up to 12 feet in the N’ly to NE’ly swells in the NW Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, but up to 6 feet in the N’ly and E’ly swells.
Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant for rough surf and the moderate to high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the north and east coast beaches during the stated advisories. Mariners should exercise caution for gusty winds and higher seas during heavy showers or strong to severe thunderstorms. Mariners should also be alert for waterspout activity during the daytime through nightfall across all areas. Localized flooding during heavy downpours across low lying and flood prone areas is expected.
