The Bahamas Insurance Association (BIA) recently donated ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to the National Emergency Management Agency to support ongoing Hurricane Dorian relief efforts.

“The Bahamas Insurance Association’s thoughts and prayers remain with those who have been impacted by the passage of Hurricane Dorian. We also extend condolences to all those who have lost loved ones.

The loss of life and the level of devastation in Grand Bahama and Abaco is unprecedented in our country’s history. However, as an industry, we remain committed to meet our contractual obligations to our clients, as we have done in numerous disasters over many years, which will aid in the recovery and restoration of our beautiful islands.

We also recognize our responsibility to give back to our community and hereby present this donation to NEMA on behalf of our members. ”
