Bahamas professional bodybuilding athlete Lorraine Lafleur finished fourth in the women’s physique category at the 2019 International Federation of BodyBuilding & Fitness’ (IFBB) Elite Pro World Championships that wrapped up on Sunday, November 3 at the Tarragona Trade Fair and Congress Center in Tarragona, Spain. Also at the same location was another Bahamian, Jason Johnson, who was in action at the 2019 IFBB Amateur World Cup. He finished third in the men’s physique up to 176 cm category as he racked up a score of 15. Lafleur qualified for this event when she won the IFBB Elite Pro Montreal Show in Montreal, Québec, Canada back in August of this year. “I decided to go with the same plan and routine that I did for August. I planned to go through with this one here. I started to get ready for this show but along the way I had a couple ailments, eye problems, an old shoulder injury came back. There were a couple little things that hindered me a bit and I think it threw me a tad bit off my game. I had to go through with the show because I had a couple of people already sponsor me so I decided to keep pushing for the show. I was hoping for the best outcome out of the show,” Lafleur stated.
