Financial Services Minister Attends STEP LATAM in Sao Paulo

The Minister of Financial Services, Trade & Industry and Immigration the Hon. Elsworth Johnson, members of his Ministry and industry professionals from The Bahamas attended the 2019 Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) LATAM conference held in Sao Paulo, Brazil October 17th & 18th, 2019.

The conference provided an overview of the Financial Services industry with a focus on Wealth Management geared to “Building Knowledge Across Borders Advising Families Today and Tomorrow”. along with bringing together Estate Planning and Trust Practitioners in Latin America. Minister Johnson, his team and industry professionals dialogued, promoted and networked with over 400 industry experts worldwide on The Bahamas as a Choice destination for financial services. Rick Fox was the keynote speaker on Day 2. He brought it home for The Bahamas speaking on the topic “E-Gaming and Youth Empowerment” (new wealth) and how he got there from a boy in The Bahamas to a basketball star, actor and now entrepreneur.
