NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL STORM NESTOR ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 2:00 PM FRIDAY OCTOBER 18TH, 2019.

...DANGEROUS STORM SURGE AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXPECTED ALONG PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN GULF COAST LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT...

AT 1:00 PM CDT, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM NESTOR WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 26.3°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 89.5° WEST OR ABOUT 355 MILES SOUTHWEST OF PANAMA CITY FLORIDA.

NESTOR IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 22 MILES PER HOUR. THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 60 MILES PER HOUR WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME STRENGTHENING IS EXPECTED LATER TODAY, WITH WEAKENING FORECAST AFTER NESTOR MOVES INLAND.
