During the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture’s National Youth Month Youth Leaders’ Reception, Scout Association of The Bahamas’ John Phillpot received special recognition as the 2019 National Youth Month Patron and Lifetime Honouree on October 11, 2019. The reception, which was held at the British Colonial Hilton, was an opportunity to recognize youth leaders and for them to network amongst themselves. Among the Government officials present at the event were the Ministry’s Acting Permanent Secretary, David Cates; Acting Undersecretaries, Renee Bullard and Montez Williams; the Chair of National Youth Month, Sandena Neely and Senator Jamal Moss.
