General Situation: High pressure ridge will build over the area as a surface to low level trough interacts with an upper level low as the disturbance moves west-northwestwards across the Central and SE Bahamas with pockets of unsettled weather through Wednesday. This disturbance has the potential to produce unsettled weather over the NW Bahamas, slowing rescue and recover to the islands of Grand Bahama and Abaco on Friday and Saturday as multi-layered troughing and tropical moisture affecting the Bahamas through the weekend.

Tuesday 10th –Variably cloudy, hot and a bit breezy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorm mainly over the Central and SE Bahamas during the daytime through the nighttime. Maximum temperature 91°F and a minimum temperature 81°F. Small craft should exercise caution overall areas. Winds NE’ly at 15 to 20 knots across the entire Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots at times. Seas 4 to 6 feet the entire Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet at times.

Wednesday 11th – Partly cloudy to cloudy, very warm and breezy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms during the daytime through the nighttime. Maximum temperature 90°F and minimum temperature 80°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution overall areas early, but the caution will be dropped for Central and SE Bahamas later. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots overall areas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots across the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet overall areas, decreasing to 2 to 4 feet late in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Thursday 12th – Partly to mostly cloudy, very warm and a bit breezy at times with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms during the daytime through the nighttime. Maximum temperature 90°F and minimum temperature 79°F. Small craft exercise caution across the NW Bahamas early. Winds NE’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas early, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later and ENE to ESE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling E’ly at 10 knots or less at times. Seas 4 to 6 feet in the NW Bahamas, falling and 2 to 4 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times.

Friday 13th – Partly to mostly cloudy, very warm and humid with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms during the daytime through the nighttime. Maximum temperature 90°F and a minimum temperature 78°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the Northern Bahamas early. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots early in the Northern Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later and E to SE at 10 to 15 knots elsewhere, falling to 10 knots or less at times. Seas 4 to 6 feet in the Northern Bahamas, but falling to 2 to 4 feet later and 2 to 4 feet elsewhere in the Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times.

Saturday 14th
– Variably cloudy, hot and humid with some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the Central and SE Bahamas during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 91°F and a minimum temperature 79°F. Small craft should exercise caution across the NW and SE Bahamas early and caution will come into effect for parts of the NW and Central Bahamas later. Winds E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the NW and SE Bahamas early, decreasing to 10 to 1 5 knots in parts of the SE and the NW Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 and E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas, increasing to 15 to 20 knots later. Seas 4 to 6 feet in the NW and SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later in parts of the NW and SE Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet in the Central Bahamas, building to 4 to 6 feet later.

Sunday 15th
– Partly to mostly cloudy, hot and humid with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW and Central Bahamas during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 91°F and minimum temperature 80°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the SE Bahamas early. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas; SE’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas, and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots early in the SE Bahamas, falling to 10 to 15 knots later. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 4 to 6 feet early in the SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later.

Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant for rough surf and the moderate to high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the east coast beaches during the stated advisories. Mariners should exercise caution for gusty winds and higher seas during heavy showers or thunderstorms. Mariners should also be alert for waterspout activity during the daytime through nightfall across all areas. Localized flooding during heavy downpours across low lying and flood prone areas are expected.
