Owner of The Other Side hotel Ben Simmons and the Br-Island Responsible Development Ltd. (BIRD) group filed an application for leave to apply for a judicial review and an interim injunction on Wednesday to stop 4M Harbour Island’s ongoing development on Harbour Island.

Guardian Business received the court document, which seeks to stop 4M’s ongoing construction of its marina, in an email yesterday. The Town Planning Committee is listed as a respondent on the court document.

The court order states: “It is hereby ordered that 4M Harbour Island Ltd. be restrained (whether by itself, or by its directors, officers, partners, employees, or agents, or in any other way) until the conclusion of the trial of this action or until further order in the meantime from carrying out any works of construction in respect of the marina at Harbour Island, forming part of the development to be known as the Briland Residences and Marina.”
