INAUGURAL ANGLICAN HEALING CONFERENCE IS HERE!

Fri, Aug 2nd 2019, 02:31 PM

Registration is now open for the Inaugural Healing Conference of the Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands set for October 18th-20th, 2019 under the theme “Intentional Discipleship Brings Healing.” The event will be held at Super Club Breezes Hotel, New Providence, Bahamas. It is a collaborative effort between the Diocesan Pastoral Care & Counselling Ministry and the entire Anglican Community. We are expecting persons from all walks of life and all denominations. Our neighbours from the Caribbean Islands, North America, and as far away as Canada and the United Kingdom will be in attendance.

Henri Nouwen states “Solitude begins with a time and place for God, and him alone. If we really believe not only that God exists but also that he is actively present in our lives—healing, teaching, and guiding — we need to set aside a time and space to give him our undivided attention”. This Conference will provide an opportunity for persons to retreat with the Lord for a time of healing. There will be opportunities for physical and inner healing, as well as a deliverance ministry. The weekend is designed to be a powerful experience for all, young and old.

It is going to be a powerful event as the anointed speakers expound on the word. They are our very own the Right Revd. Bishop Laish Z. Boyd, Bishop of the Diocese of The Bahamas and the Turks & Caicos Islands, the Right Revd. Harold Daniel, the Retired Suffragan Bishop of Mandeville, Jamaica & Cayman Islands and our very own the Most Revd. Drexel W. Gomez, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of The Bahamas and The Turks and Caicos Islands, the Right Revd. Bishop Gilbert A. Thompson, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of The Bahamas and The Turks & Caicos Islands, and many other local and international persons sharing their experiences and testimonies.

An Early Bird Special is available at $590 (single occupancy); $410 per person (double occupancy) and $380 per person (triple occupancy). We encourage persons to find a suitable roommate(s) and take advantage of these rates before the Early Bird Special ends on August 31st, 2019.

It should be known that Pastoral Care and Counselling (PCC) was one the seven ministries developed under Diocese 2000 and Beyond and it continues to evolve under Mission and Ministry. This PCC ministry decided to embark on this new adventure of a Healing Conference.
