Black Bahamians' racial inferiority complex

The Bahamian population is over 92 percent black. Within this massive racial demographic is a consciousness of our skin tone, due to what African Americans would call colorphobia, colorism and internalized white supremacy.

Just like in the United States with light skinned African Americans, light skinned Bahamians are much better off than their dark skinned Bahamian counterparts.

Most dark skinned Bahamians would prefer to marry someone who is mango skinned and has curly hair.
