The Bahamas Crisis Centre is regrettably advising that its:

24-Hour Hotline: 242-328 -0922 and Main line: 242-322- 4999 are currently out of service.

Calls can be made to the National Hotline: 242-322-2763 or the Police Emergency at 919 until further notice.

ABOUT THE BAHAMAS CRISIS CENTRE

OUR HISTORY

The Bahamas Crisis Centre, formerly known as The Women’s Crisis Centre, is a registered, non-profit organization that provides services to people who are the victims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse.

The Centre was opened in 1982 by Dr. Sandra Dean-Patterson, who saw an urgent need in the community for such a facility.

During the time the Centre has been in operation, the number of volunteers has grown steadily and the scope of services rendered to the community has been considerably expanded.

At the Bahamas Crisis Centre, we rely on the help and expertise of professionals such as Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Counsellors, Attorneys and Volunteers, in the community to be able to help others.
