The Bahamas was represented at the Second Western Hemisphere Counterterrorism Ministerial Conference convened from July 18-19, in Buenos Aries, Argentina, by a delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Darren Henfield.

ASP Harris-Cash of the Ministry of National Security and Foreign Service Officer Sherry Johnson-Deal also attended. Participants in the conference included ministers of foreign affairs and competent national authorities in the field of counterterrorism.

Heads of delegations and experts discussed the regional scenario: terrorist threats in the Americas, western hemisphere cooperation against terrorist financing, regional security and law and criminal law approaches to terrorism and terrorist financing.
