Amid calls for the government to address disparaging comments made by Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) board member Bennett Minnis against the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP), Minister of Public Works Desmond Bannister said yesterday that it is a “Cabinet issue”.

WSC Executive Chairman Adrian Gibson, who is also the MP for Long Island, yesterday declined to comment on the controversy surrounding Minnis’ comments.

“No comment,” he said as The Nassau Guardian and other reporters chased after him.

When asked about Minnis’ comments, Bannister said, “These are Cabinet issues”.
