Pedrya Seymour is rounding back into form.

The Bahamian national record holder in the women’s 100 meters (m) hurdles has been consistently under 13 seconds this season, and yesterday was no different, as she took on a world-class field at the 33rd Meeting Città di Padova at the Daciano Colbachini Stadium in Padova, Italy.

Seymour finished third in the women’s 100m hurdles in 12.78 seconds after running 13.04 seconds in the heats. The time in the final was a season’s best time for her and just three one hundredths of a second off the former meet record of 12.75 seconds that was run by American Kellie Wells in 2013.

Megan Tapper, of Jamaica, won the race in a new meet record of 12.66 seconds. American Tiffani McReynolds finished second in 12.72 seconds as both went under the former meet record. Seymour’s training partner,

Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico, finished fourth in 12.86 seconds. American Evonne Britton was fifth in 12.93 seconds.
