The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) stated yesterday that parliamentarians should put forward a vote of no confidence in the current government for a number of issues, including the entering into a lease agreement with a former Cabinet minister.

DNA Leader Arinthia Komolafe raised concerns about the government’s handling of several matters including the Oban deal, the firing of Bahamas Power and Light’s (BPL) board and the $95 million dollar deal struck with Wartsila for new engines.

“We the people want a vote of no confidence in this government for the ill-advised massive increase in value-added tax which put hardship on Bahamians,” Komolafe said at a press conference outside the Town Centre Mall yesterday. “We the people want a vote of no confidence in this government for the multiple blacklisting of The Bahamas under their watch.”
