Transitioning from one phase of his athletics career to another, Bahamian legendary athlete Chris “The Fireman” Brown is now the head athletics coach at Clayton State University – a public National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) division two institution in Morrow, Georgia, USA.

The five-time Olympian, who enjoyed a competitive career on the track for more than two decades, takes over the leadership of the men’s and women’s track and field programs at Clayton State, following the promotion of long-time head coach Mike Mead to Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Alumni Engagement. The announcement was made by Clayton State’s Athletics Director (AD) Ryan Erlacher last week. Mead will remain the head coach for both cross country programs at Clayton State.
