Seven Americans were killed in a helicopter crash in waters off Grand Cay, Abaco, police said yesterday.

Police said the helicopter, which departed Big Grand Cay en route to Fort Lauderdale, was reported missing shortly after 2 p.m.

American billionaire Chris Cline is the owner of Big Grand Cay.

Roosevelt Curry, Abaco chief councilor, said last night that Cline was one of the people onboard the helicopter.

No other local authority confirmed this last night, but West Virginia Governor Jim Justice paid tribute to Cline.
