General Situation: A weak high pressure ridge will continue to dominate conditions across the area as periodic low to upper level atmospheric troughs enhance usual summertime convection over the Bahamas this week. On Tuesday a frontal trough will enter the NW Bahamas and stall across the Central Bahamas on Wednesday. High pressure ridge will build over the area as the trough weakens and dissipates late Wednesday into Thursday morning. High pressure ridge rebuilds over the area with moderate to strong breezes continuing over the Bahamas from Thursday to Saturday, and then it weakens by end of the weekend.

Tuesday 02nd – Partly to mostly sunny, humid and hot with the chance of few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW Bahamas during the daytime, turning partly cloudy to fair skies and warm at night time with the slight chance of a passing shower. Maximum temperature 91°F and a minimum temperature 77°F. Winds variable at 10 knots or less across the entire Bahamas and seas 1 to 3 feet overall areas.

Wednesday 03rd – Partly to mostly sunny and hot with the chance of few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorm mainly across the Central Bahamas during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and warm at night time with few lingering passing showers likely. Maximum temperature 90°F and minimum temperature 80°F. Winds variable at 10 knots or less overall areas and 1 to 3 feet overall areas.

Thursday 04th – Partly to mostly sunny, hot and humid with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW and Central Bahamas. Partly cloudy to fair skies and warm at night time with lingering showers or an isolated thunderstorm across the NW and Central Bahamas. Maximum temperature 90°F and minimum temperature 79°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Friday 05th – Partly to mostly sunny, humid and hot with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW Bahamas during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair and warm at night time with a passing shower at night time. Maximum temperature 92°F and a minimum temperature 79°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Saturday 06th – Variably cloudy, breezy and hot with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the Central Bahamas during the daytime through the night time. Maximum temperature 91°F and a minimum temperature 80°F. Small craft should exercise caution overall areas. Winds SE’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet over the ocean for all areas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later in the NW Bahamas.

Sunday 07th – Partly cloudy to cloudy, humid and hot with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across the NW Bahamas during the daytime through the night time. Elsewhere, partly to mostly sunny, hot and humid during the daytime, turning fair and warm at night time. Maximum temperature 91°F and a minimum temperature 81°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution across the SE Bahamas early. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable at times; E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later. Seas 2 to 4 feet across the NW and Central Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later.

Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant due to rough surf and the high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the north and east coast beaches during stated advisories. Mariners should exercise caution for gusty winds and higher seas during heavy showers or thunderstorms. Mariners should also be alert waterspout activity during the day time across all areas.
