A month after signing with American Label Interscope Records, Jamaican recording artist Shenseea is thankful and grateful for all the support as her career continues to skyrocket. And she didn’t leave her “ShenYengs” in The Bahamas out of the journey.

The rising dancehall star’s name is now on the tip of everyone’s tongue, especially after the release of her latest single “Blessed”, which features rapper Tyga. Since its release in late May, the song, with its catchy hook that celebrates the blessing of just being alive, has dominated airwaves.

And it was a hit when she took to the stage during Alpha Sounds’ Survival Weekend Reloaded. Shenseea, though under doctor’s orders to take it easy on the stage due to challenges with her voice, put on quite the show, giving her fans the show they’ve waited nearly a year to see as they sang the lyrics word for word.

“It’s not my first time but it’s been a while since I got here and I was really, really excited,” Shenseea said after taking selfies with a few lucky fans. “I wish I could do it all over again.”
