Today, AML Foods Limited officially opened the new Frank J. Crothers Learning and Development Center in Nassau. The 3,400 square-foot facility is located adjacent to Solomon’s Yamacraw on Yamacraw Hill Road.

The company invested a total of $600,000 to complete the learning and development center that can accommodate up to 250 team members. AML’s board of directors, members of the senior management team and other invited guests attended the opening ceremony and had a chance to tour the new facilities.

The center is named after Frank J. Crothers who has served on AML’s board of directors for 30 years. It is one of two built by AML to assist with staff training throughout the organization. Last July, the company opened a similar training facility for its employees in Grand Bahama. Each property is equipped with an on site computer lab with technology to connect outlets in New Providence and Grand Bahama via video conferencing.

Renea Bastian, Vice President of Marketing & Communications at AML Foods Limited said the primary purpose of the training site is to ensure the continued development of the company’s employees.

“We are committed to the full development of our team members. Proper training is an integral part of our goal of building from within. By equipping staff with the skills needed to succeed, they have a greater chance for future growth across our various brands,” she explained.

“Our goal is to provide opportunities for staff to have the tools needed in order to be productive in the work environment. Investing in a new learning and development center allows us to develop more employees to better serve the Bahamian public.”

With learning being a key component of AML’s core values, the company is focused on continuously training, coaching and developing its 900 team members.
