General Situation: A weak trough across the NW Bahamas will trigger pockets of unsettled weather across the NW and Central Bahamas as it moves westwards through early Friday. A weak high pressure ridge over the Bahamas will slide east-southeastward through the weekend as a cold front approaches the NW Bahamas by Tuesday afternoon. The cold front will move south-eastwards across the NW Bahamas on Wednesday as a small low pressure system develops near or over the South Florida area with spotty unsettled weather likely.

Thursday 09th – Partly cloudy, hot and humid with few scattered showers and few isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW Bahamas during the daytime. Partly cloudy, muggy and warm at night time with the chance of a passing shower. Maximum temperature 87°F and a minimum temperature 74°F. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas, becoming light and variable at times and E’ly at 12 to 18 knots across the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 3 to 5 feet in the SE Bahamas. Light to moderate N’ly to NE’ly ocean swells likely overall areas.

Friday 10th – Partly cloudy to cloudy, hot and humid with few scattered showers across the NW and SE Bahamas, turning partly cloudy and warm at night time with few lingering showers likely across the NW Bahamas. Partly to mostly sunny, hot and humid with the chance of a shower in the SE Bahamas, turning fair and warm at night time. Maximum temperature 88°F and a minimum temperature 76°F. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and E’ly at 12 to 18 knots with stronger gusts early in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 3 to 5 feet in the SE Bahamas bit higher in gusts early. Light to moderate diminishing NE’ly to E’ly ocean swells overall areas.

– Variably cloudy, hot and humid with few passing showers likely during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair skies and warm with the chance of a passing shower at night time. Maximum temperature 87°F and a minimum temperature 76°F. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and E’ly at 12 to 18 knots in the SE Bahamas with stronger gusts early. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling 1 to 3 feet at times and 3 to 5 feet in the SE Bahamas but higher in gusts early.

Sunday 12th – Partly sunny, hot and humid with the chance of few isolated showers during the daytime. Mostly fair and warm at night except for increasing clouds and some scattered showers across the NW Bahamas. Maximum temperature 88°F and a minimum temperature 77°F. Winds SSE to SSW at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling light and variable at times across all areas. Seas 2 to 4 feet overall areas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times.

Monday 13th – Partly to mostly sunny, humid and hot with few scattered showers and few isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW Bahamas early during the daytime. Mainly fair and warm at night time. Maximum temperature 90°F and a minimum temperature 77°F. Winds S to SW at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and SE to S at 10 knots or less across the Central and SE Bahamas, falling light and variable across all areas at times. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet in the NW Bahamas later and 1 to 3 feet over the Central and SE Bahamas.

Tuesday 14th – Partly to mostly sunny, humid and hot with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms early during the daytime. Partly cloudy to fair and warm with the slight chance of a passing shower at night time. Maximum temperature 88°F and a minimum temperature 75°F. Winds SW’ly at 10 to 15 knots across the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable later and variable at 10 knots or less across the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 1 to 3 feet across the Central and SE Bahamas.

Wednesday 15th – Variable cloudiness, hot and humid with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms early across the Bahamas during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 90°F and a minimum temperature 78°F. Winds variable at 10 knots or less overall areas. Seas 1 to 3 feet overall areas.

Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant due to rough surf and the high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the north and east coast beaches during stated advisories. Mariners should exercise extreme caution for ocean swells and the possible formation of waterspout activity.
