BTC JA Company Wins Product of the Year

BTC’s Junior Achievement Company, BTC C.T.R.L (Cultivating The Right Leaders) walked away with bragging rights, winning the annual “Product of the Year” competition.

The students prepared a customized, all Bahamian coloring and activity booked aimed at elementary school students. Thus far, the students have sold over 500 copies of the activity book.

CEO, Garry Sinclair said, “We are proud of our Junior Achievers. We believe that our job is to inspire and prepare our young people to succeed. 

Over the years our team members have contributed their time and talent to ensure that they leave understanding the basic principles of successfully managing a business. This group's product was so in demand that the students had to produce more books.”

The book includes teaching on national symbols, culture, the country’s leadership, the Family Islands, food and fun facts.

BTC is celebrating with JA Bahamas, as the company partnered with the Junior Achievement program since its inception.

BTC currently has two active Junior Achievement companies, one in New Providence and the other in Grand Bahama. More than one hundred children are enrolled in both programs and they are managed by current and retired team members.

BTC believes that through its investment in the Junior Achievement program that the company is giving students the power to pursue their dreams.

BTC Executive Advisor, Keva Turnquest said, “We are truly harnessing the entrepreneurial skills of our achievers. Just two weeks ago they made a presentation to Pastor Mario Moxey of Bahamas Harvest church and sold 95 books during the service.”

The company’s president is Kiante Stuart from C.R. Walker Senior High School.
