General Situation: A cold front across the SE Bahamas with a low pressure system near east Cuba continue to produce cloudiness and showers across the area while a second cold front moves south-eastwards across the NW Bahamas with few scattered showers. The two fronts will merge on Friday with cloudiness and showers lingering across the SE Bahamas through Saturday. By Sunday the front will shift south of the area as another cold front shift through the NW and Central Bahamas followed by building high pressure system in its wake. A surface trough will develop across the NW Bahamas on Tuesday as front becomes stationary across the SE Bahamas with cloudy period and some unsettled weather. Another cold front will move through the Bahamas on Wednesday pushing unsettled weather south and eastward across the Bahamas archipelago leaving drier and cooler conditions in its wake.

Friday 22nd – Partly cloudy and warm with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the SE Bahamas during the daytime, turning partly cloudy to fair at night with the chance of lingering showers across the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 83°F and minimum temperature 67°F. Small craft should exercise caution across the NW Bahamas early and a small craft caution will come into effect for the SE Bahamas by evening. Winds NNW to NNE at 10 to 15 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots early in the NW Bahamas and N to NE at 10 to 15 knots across the Central and SE Bahamas, falling light and variable at times except increasing to 15 to 20 knots across the SE Bahamas at night. Seas 2 to 4 feet across tall areas but building to 4 to 6 feet early in the NW Bahamas and late in the SE Bahamas.

Saturday 23rd – Mostly sunny and warm except for lingering clouds and few scattered showers or a possible thunderstorm across the SE Bahamas during the daytime. Fair to clear skies and mild at night except for cloudy periods with few scattered showers across the SE Bahamas during the daytime. Small craft should exercise caution in the SE Bahamas. Winds NE’ly at 10 knots or less in the NW Bahamas, NE’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the Central Bahamas and NE’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 1 to 3 feet in the NW Bahamas, 2 to 4 feet in the Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet across the SE Bahamas.

Sunday 24th – Partly cloudy to cloudy and warm with few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the SE Bahamas. Partly cloudy to cloudy at night with scattered showers and a possible thunderstorm across the Central and SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 81°F and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft caution across the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, increasing to 12 to 18 knots late and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas building to 3 to 5 feet later and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Monday 25th – Partly to mostly sunny and warm across the NW and Central Bahamas but cloudy in the SE Bahamas with widely scattered showers across all areas. Mainly fair and mild at night with few cloudy periods across the NW and SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 83°F and minimum temperature 64°F. Small craft caution across theCentral and SE Bahamas early. Winds NE to E at 12 to 18 knots in the NW Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, decreasing to 10 knots or less by afternoon. Seas 3 to 5 feet in the NW Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet later and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet later.

Tuesday 26th – Mostly sunny and warm with the chance of isolated showers mainly across the NW Bahamas during the daytime. Fair to clear at night with the slight chance of a shower. Maximum temperature 83F and minimum temperature 63F. Winds E’ly at 10 knots or less across the entire Bahamas, switching W to NW at 10 knots or less across the NW Bahamas late. Seas 1 to 3 feet over the ocean for all areas.

Wednesday 27th – Partly to mostly sunny and warm with the chance of a few isolated showers during the daytime. Fair to clear skies and mild at night with the chance of an isolated shower. Maximum temperature 82°F and minimum temperature 65°F. Winds N’ly at 10 knots across the entire Bahamas but increasing to 12 to 18 knots across the NW Bahamas from the NW later. Seas 1 to 3 feet across the entire Bahamas but building to 3 to 5 feet in the NW Bahamas later.

Beachgoers and mariners should exercise extreme caution due to rough surf and the risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along north and east coast beaches during stated advisories. Boaters should also remain alert for the possibility of moderate to large swells generated from deep lows some distance away affecting the Bahamas periodically along waterspout activity.
