The BKC also thanks the Antiquities Monuments and Museums Corporation for permitting the show to be held on the Beautiful Collins House Grounds.

The Annual show which began as a breed competition has grown over the years to include Performance Competitions such as Agility , Rally and Obedience.

These classes all require dogs and their owners to work as a team to complete sets of exercises that become more difficult as the team advances through a series of exercises for Titles.

Confirmation Classes are the beauty competitions where dogs compete for Best of Breed and then on to Best In Show.

The show will feature many breeds of dogs: German Shepherds, Shetland Sheepdogs, Shiloh Shepherds , Australian Shepherds, Rottweiler’s , Belgian Malanois, , Bedlington Terriers, Scottish Terriers, Poodles and a great many others.

This year Purina is offering a special Floating Trophy for Best Potcake which will be awarded on the Sunday.

There are also special classes ( Spayed and Neutered) for Breed, Mixed Breed and Potcake on Saturday and Sunday.

The BKC and the BHS ( Bahamas Humane Society ) have also come together to offer a fun show for dogs who can do tricks or are willing to model a fantastic costume. On Saturday, your pet can compete in Waggiest Tail, Best Trick, Fastest Recall, and Best Costume.

On Sunday, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by wearing the green, or enter Fastest Retrieve, Grand Prix ( highest jump) and of course Best Kisser. All proceeds from the Fun Show will go to support the BHS.

So come out and enjoy the show, the event features popular food vendors like the Batter Girls and Vell Monkey Foot with a number of other vendors.

Bahamiam Brewery will be at the show with cold brews. Purina will have special deals on Purina Products as well as samples and gifts for those who attend the show.
