The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture wishes to advise the public of the postponement of the 2019 Junior Junkanoo Parade in Freeport, Grand Bahama which was previously scheduled to be held tomorrow, 26 January, 2019.

The Bahamas Department of Meteorology (Freeport) has confirmed that a frontal boundary across the Northern Bahamas will increase chances of rain over Grand Bahama to 60 to 80% throughout Saturday morning and into Sunday.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture and the Grand Bahama Junkanoo Committee are consulting with participating schools to reschedule the parade for a convenient date in the near future.
