An abandoned resort and marina on Walker’s Cay, Abaco has become a home for dozens of cats which are said to be starving as their population grows out of control, according to animals rights advocate Richard Moreland, a pilot from Orlando, Florida who frequently visits the island.
Moreland, who said he dropped off a 16-pound supply of cat chow on the cay last week, yesterday shared his belief that the food he took the felines has already run out and they have nothing else to eat.
He claimed the cats have been abandoned since late last year.
