Sandals Foundation gives Christmas presents to over 600 students at Gambier Primary
December 12, 2018, Nassau, Bahamas: It certainly was a chilly one but that did not take away from the fun. Team members from Sandals Royal Bahamian representing the Sandals Foundation visited Sandilands Primary School on Tuesday morning to spread some Christmas cheer. Over 600 students received a gift, wrapped in bright and festive paper.
The Sandals Foundation once again teamed up with Hasbro to assist in putting smiles on the faces of the children of the school located in Fox Hill. Esther Cartwright, principal of Sandilands Primary shared, “Once again Sandals came through and helped to brighten the holidays for our kids here at Sandilands. Some of these children actually wouldn’t have received a gift from anywhere else so it was heart-warming to see the excitement on their little faces when they realized how they were about to be blessed.”
Lazar Delorenzo Charlton, public relations manager at Sandals Royal Bahamian added, “Keeping in touch with Sandilands Primary this year has been an absolute pleasure for my team members and I. Since we have built a relationship with this school we have literally watched some of the children grow and we’re happy that we’re able to give them positive memories as well as help to instill in them the spirit of giving. We’re very much looking forward to engaging the school in the new year and serving the children of this community.”
