The Bahamas Football Association is proud to announce that two referees have been accepted to the 2019 FIFA Referees Committee, to the 2019 International lists. The two referees are:
Referee: Wilson Da Costa
Woman Assistant Referee: Krystal Delancey
These selections follow a rigorous program which includes fitness testing and medical examination and evaluation, knowledge of the Laws of the Game, evaluation of performances in local and international matches during the previous 12 months prior to being nominated as well as meeting age requirements.
Wilson DaCosta in addition to his referee duties, also heads the growing Referee Academy in the Bahamas which is charged with recruiting, educating and growing the base of young referees in the country. The Bahamas model is now being copied in the USA as well in the Caribbean.
Krystal Delancey is also a Physical Education specialist with the Ministry of Education and is the coach at Sir Gerald Cash Primary School.
