General Situation: A cold front extends across the Northwest Bahamas and will drift southeastwards and into the Central Bahamas on Tuesday and into the Southeast Bahamas by Wednesday. A ridge of high pressure will build across the Bahamas in wake of the front producing brisk winds and cooler temperatures by mid-week before warming up through the remainder of the week. Another front will move into the Bahamas late Friday into Saturday reinforcing the cooler and breezy to windy conditions.

Tuesday 11th – Partly cloudy to cloudy, windy and chilly with the chance of isolated showers mainly along the front during the day. Partly cloudy with a few passing showers at night. Maximum temperature 72°F and minimum temperature 59°F. A small craft advisory will be in effect in the NW and Central Bahamas and a small craft caution will be in effect in the SE Bahamas. Winds NW to N at 20 to 25 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and NW to N at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 5 to 8 feet over the ocean in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Wednesday 12th – Variably cloudy, breezy and mild during the day. Mainly fair, breezy and cool at night. Maximum temperature 74°F and minimum temperature 59°F. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Winds N to NE at 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 7 feet over the ocean.

Thursday 13th – Variably cloudy with the chance of isolated showers mainly across the SE Bahamas along the front to partly sunny and warmer across the remainder of the islands during the day. Mainly fair across the NW and Central Bahamas to partly cloudy over the SE Bahamas at night. Maximum temperature 78°F and minimum temperature 63°F. Small craft should exercise caution. Winds E to SE at 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 7 feet over the ocean.

Friday 14th – Partly sunny and breezy with a few passing showers possible during the day. Mainly fair and breezy at night with a passing shower or two possible. Maximum temperature 84°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Winds SE to S at 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 7 feet over the ocean.

Saturday 15th – Partly cloudy to cloudy and a bit breezy with a few scattered showers possible during the day as the front moves through. Partly cloudy with a passing shower or two possible at night. Maximum temperature 80° and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Winds S to SW at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas and SE to S at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet over the ocean in the NW Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Sunday 16th – Partly cloudy to cloudy with a few isolated showers possible during the day. Partly cloudy and mild with isolated showers possible at night. Maximum temperature 77°F and minimum temperature 65°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the NW Bahamas. Winds W to NW at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas and SE to S at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas falling light and variable at times. Seas 4 to 6 feet over the ocean in the NW Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Beachgoers and mariners should exercise caution due to rough surf and the high risk of rip currents along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories.
