Mrs. Kayleaser Deveaux-Isaacs Confirmed As BCB General Manager

Executive Chairman, Mr. Mike Smith and the Board of Directors of The Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas announce that Mrs. Kayleaser Deveaux-Isaacs has been confirmed as General Manager of The Corporation effective, November 1st, 2018.

Mrs Deveaux-Isaacs will lead the BCB’s Team as it transitions its Radio and Television facilities to provide more Public Broadcasting Services (PBS).

Mrs. Deveaux-Isaacs served as Acting General Manager since June, 2017 and prior to that time, served as Sr. Deputy General Manager, Programming & Special Projects beginning November, 2007. She has nearly twenty (20) years of experience as a Broadcaster.

In December 2012, she led the launch team for The Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas’ revolutionary High Definition (HD) Television System and has Created and Executive Produced several ground breaking News & Current Affairs programmes.

“I am honoured”, she said, “that the Board of Directors have entrusted me with this opportunity to serve in this capacity. Already, my team and I have made some great strides and we look forward to reshaping and enhancing the Corporation, especially the upgrade of the Northern Service from Analog to Digital; it is long overdue. We will seek to push the envelope further in an effort to unify our people on the various islands with our programming content choices through the aid and assistance of technology, as we work to transition fully to PBS.”

Mrs. Deveaux-Isaacs has a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Degree from the New School for Social Research; Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Psychology from Bernard Baruch College and an Associate of Arts Degree in Occupational Studies from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, all institutions in New York City. She is highly skilled with a facility for strong leadership and creative decision making. She is committed to bridging the educational & cultural divide between traditional broadcast media and the new social media platforms.

Mrs. Deveaux-Isaacs presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU). She assists with various Community outreach organizations such as The Salvation Army, The Ranfurly Home for Children, Great Commission Ministries and is a mentor to many young adults. She has represented The Bahamas on various regional broadcast committees.
