Today, officials from AML Foods Limited launched the company’s 3rd Annual Feed 5000 Families holiday giveback. Executives also announced that the company will jumpstart their goal of raising $100,000 with a $20,000 donation towards the initiative.

Between November 12th -December 16th, 2018, AML is appealing to the general public and corporate Bahamas to purchase or donate towards the purchase of Christmas Dinner Packages valued at $40 at Solomon’s Fresh Markets, all Solomon’s and Cost Right locations in New Providence and Grand Bahama. Each package will contain items to prepare a festive holiday meal for a family in need.

During a press conference held at Solomon’s Yamacraw, the company joined representatives from The Bahamas Feeding Network, the Bahamas Red Cross and the Salvation Army to share their goals for the feeding initiative.

At the end of the initiative, each agency will collect the Christmas Dinner Packages from AML and distribute the items to families in need on New Providence and on Grand Bahama.

“As we look forward to a holiday season filled with festivities, food and fun, many Bahamian families will continue to struggle to meet their basic needs.

This year, AML Foods Limited will once again support those in need through our Feed 5000 Families giveback campaign,” said Renea Bastian, Vice President of Marketing & Communications at AML Foods Ltd.

“Thanks to the generosity of our partners and the wider Bahamian community, we have donated close to $150,000 in grocery items to families in need since starting the program in 2016.

This year, our goal is to raise $100,000 for the Feed 5000 Families initiative.”

In addition to purchasing meal packages in store, persons can also support the program by logging on to www.dominos242.com and donating online.

AML Foods will match all online donations up to $5,000, increasing the company’s overall contribution to a possible $25,000.

Christmas Dinner Packages will be distributed on December 19th, 2018 in Nassau and on December 20th, 2018 in Freeport.

AML is aiming at presenting 2,500 meal packages for delivery.

Organizations, civic groups or private citizens interested in partnering with AML Foods to make the holidays brighter for Bahamian families can purchase Christmas Dinner Packages at Solomon’s Fresh Market and at Solomon’s and Cost Right locations in New Providence and Grand Bahama.
