The multi- agency unit comprising of the Air Accident Investigation Department, Royal Bahamas Police Force, Royal Bahamas Defence Force and the Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association thanks the general public for their cooperation and support with recovery efforts related to the recent ill-fated crash involving an Aztec Aircraft on Thursday 8 November, 2018, near Nirvana Beach.

However, the general public is advised that the immediate area extending 2 miles from the shoreline northward, bounded by Nirvana Beach on the west and Compass Point on the east, is established as a controlled area for ongoing air accident investigative purposes.

Accordingly, volunteer divers willing to assist in underwater operations are asked to register at The Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association (BASRA) for coordination purposes.
