Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Home for the Second Year

The prestigious Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF), now entering its 15th edition, will be held at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, the hottest new resort property in The Bahamas. The announcement was made today by BIFF Founder and Executive Director, Leslie Vanderpool and Braedan Quigley, Director Of Sales and Marketing Grand Hyatt Baha Mar

“As home to one of the largest collections of Bahamian art, we’re honoured to welcome the Bahamas International Film Festival back for its milestone 15-year anniversary and to celebrate the community’s most creative minds and film industry leaders,” said Braedan Quigley. “The 2,000-seat Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center adorned with Bahamian art coupled with 200,000 square feet of beachfront indoor-outdoor event space offer elegant and contextual venue options for the weeklong event,” said Braedan Quigley.

Films will be screened throughout the Baha Mar property. Star-studded events, panel discussions with celebrities, filmmakers and movie industry leaders as well as other special festival events will be held at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.

The film festival will showcase 50 films from 21 countries, including three world premieres and 35 Caribbean premieres. All of the films’ screenings will be Bahamian premieres. BIFF 2018 takes place from November 28 to December 2 in Nassau and December 2 - 6 in Hope Town. The Festival’s opening night in Nassau at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar will begin with the showcase of SPRINTER Storm Saulter’s critically acclaimed sports drama.
