Bahama Host 40th Anniversary Ceremony Reception at Government House

Governor General, Her Excellency the Most Hon. Dame Marguerite Pindling hosted a Bahama Host 40th Anniversary Awards Ceremony and Reception at Government House on Thursday afternoon, October 11, 2018.

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, which conducts Bahama Host for Bahamian residents both directly and indirectly involved in the Tourism industry, celebrates the importance of the training programme, which began in 1978.

Some 50,000 participants have utilized the Hospitality and Tourism-focused training and development initiative geared to producing a superior visitor reception and hosting team, nationwide.

The programme's Founder, Sir Clement Maynard, and Directors and Managers of Bahama Host through the years were recognized.

The Governor General (seated centre) presented awards. Minister of Social Services and Urban Development, the Hon. Frankie Campbell (seated second left) brought congratulatory remarks on behalf of Minister of Tourism & Aviation the Hon. Dionisio D'Aguilar.
