News Item on Tropical Storm Nadine issued by The Bahamas Department of Meteorology Forecast Office Section at 6AM, THURSDAY, 11TH OCTOBER, 2018.

…NADINE FORECAST TO BEGIN WEAKENING SOON…

AT 5:00AM EDT, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM NADINE WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 14.1°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 33.3° WEST OR ABOUT 595 MILES WEST OF THE SOUTHERNMOST CABO VERDE ISLANDS.

NADINE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 8 MPH AND THIS GENERAL MOTION IS ANTICIPATED TO CONTINUE DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO. A TURN TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST OR WEST IS FORECAST TO OCCUR ON FRIDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS REMAIN NEAR 65 MILES PER HOUR WITH HIGHER GUSTS. GRADUAL WEAKENING IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, AND NADINE IS FORECAST TO DEGENERATE INTO A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE WEEKEND.
