“It is incredible when you can go into the natural environment, source the material, and be able to convert those materials into products that have the capacity to generate billions of dollars,” said the Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources, the Hon. Michael Pintard at the Cooperative Youth Entrepreneur Empowerment Seminar (YEES) Summer Camp Closing Ceremony & Exhibition at the Mall at Marathon, Monday, July 30, 2018.

The ceremony opened with the singing of the National Anthem by Katrina Cooper who was the summer instructor for bee keeping. All participating students were present to receive their completion certificates. Some of their handmade products were on display for sale along with some written reports of their camping experience.

The Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources proposed to have his Ministry buy as many products as possible from the students especially the business card holders which caught his attention. He left many important words of encouragement including: “Excellence is a habit and through your studies and discipline, you are prepared to be excellent without excuse.”
