Bahamas First General Insurance Company recently announced its sponsorship of the 2018 Bahamas First Junior Golf Open in partnership with the Fourteen Clubs Golf Academy.

This junior golf tournament will take place on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Ocean Club Golf Course.

Organizer and founder of the Fourteen Clubs Golf Academy, local pro golfer, Georgette Rolle, expressed gratitude to Bahamas First, “The Front 9, the tournament programme for Fourteen Clubs Golf Academy, is excited to have Bahamas First come on board as the title sponsor for this event.

This Bahamas First Junior Golf Open is a continuation of our series of tournaments, The Front Nine Junior Golf Tour, which has been providing junior golfers with opportunities to compete in low pressured competitions while they hone their skills and courses around The Bahamas.

We have fourteen core values that are very important to us that we try to instill in the golfers; these include demonstrating sportsmanship and respect to their partners and competitors.

This tournament also provide mentorship opportunities for newer golfers as all levels will be participating and pairs in teams.”

Leah Davis, Group Marketing & Communications Manager, explained, “Bahamas First is happy to be able to sponsor this junior golf event and partner with Fourteen Clubs Golf Academy; they are doing an amazing job of exposing youngsters to the game of golf, providing instruction and access to lessons and tournaments both in The Bahamas and across the region.

Ultimately, they are providing positive life experiences for young people. We remain committed to supporting positive activities and opportunities for young Bahamians and we see this as another chance to invest in our youth, who are putting first things first, pursuing their personal goals and making positive choices.”

Junior golfers between the ages of 7 to 18 years old are invited to participate and will be paired in teams and compete within their age divisions.

There are four divisions: 8 years and under, 10 years and under, 14 years and under and 18 years and under. Interested golfers can sign up by visiting www.fourteenclubsgolfacademy.com or calling 828-GOLF.
