Minister of National Security the Hon. Marvin Dames announced the launch of the pilot phase of an updated version of the Mandatory Action Rescuing Children Operation (MARCO) Alert, during a press conference and demonstration at the Royal Bahamas Police Force Headquarters, on July 5, 2018.

Minister Dames pointed out that the new alert system used an electronic web-based platform that allowed for broadcasts across various communication channels inclusive of phones, pagers, emails, internet pop ups, and secure encrypted messages through mobile applications and radio.
