Winds: East to northeast at 10 to 15 knot increasing 15 to 20 knots by afternoon

Seas: 2 to 4 feet building 4 to 6 feet

Boaters: Small craft caution comes into effect by the afternoon

Central Bahamas

Weather: Cloudy to overcast with rain, widely scattered showers and thunderstorms through tonight

Winds: Variable at 5 to 10 knots becoming northeasterly at 10 to 15 knots this evening

Seas: 2 to 4 feet building 3 to 5 feet this evening

Boaters: small craft should be alert for gusty winds and higher seas in or near showers and thunderstorms

Southeast Bahamas

Weather: Cloudy to overcast with rain, widely scattered showers and thunderstorms through tonight

Winds: Variable at 5 to 10 knots
