The Ministry of Health has been made aware of false information circulating via social media channels regarding cruise ship deaths from food poisoning.

The Government’s Port Health Surveillance Team, in collaboration with the Bahamas Customs Department unit, located at Prince George Wharf, is investigating these claims, but, to date, have not found anything to substantiate them.

The Government of The Bahamas is committed to safeguarding the health of Bahamian residents and visitors, and continues to have vigilant disease surveillance and disaster preparedness protocols in place to monitor and avert any potential health threats.
