Custom Computers Sponsors Bahamas National Spelling Bee

Custom Computers was a proud sponser of this year's 14th Annual National Spelling bee on Saturday, March 20 at the Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casio, once again joining hands with the Ministry of Education to pormote excellence in education.

First place winner Sujith Abhishek Swarna, a 13-year old, eight grade student of Forest Heights Academy in Abaco emerged the winner beating 18 other contestants from private and public schools throughout the country. "I was really pleased," said Sujith moments after winning the competition. Sujith informed that he had been practicing for the Spelling Bee since November of last year.

Amoung his many prizes was a brand new HP Mini Notebook Computer courtesy of Custom Computers. Racquelle Sweeting, Custom Computers' Sale Representative was on hand to make the special presentation on behalf of the Custom Computers Know How Store.

Minister of Education the Honourable Desmond Bannister in his opening remarks said the participants all have demonstrated courage and determination, pointing out that, "They are all champions in their own right." Minister Bannister thanked the organizers, couches, teachers and sponsors of event for investing in the education of the next generation.
