A backlog in the processing of business license applications at the Business License Unit within the Ministry of Finance has been largely resolved, according to a senior official, with everyone who applied for a license expected to have been processed by the end of this week.
Athena Marche, Deputy Controller of Inland Revenue with responsibility for the Business License/Valuation Unit, put the delay in dealing with the applications down to the fact that many business operators left it until within a week of the deadline to apply, while many business people who had not been in compliance for "many years" finally felt compelled to ...
