The streets of New Providence were alive with the sights and sounds of Bahamas Carnival this weekend as thousands turned out for the full weekend of fetes and concerts featuring the brightest stars on the international Soca scene.

The highlight of the weekend’s festivities however, was undoubtedly the massive Road Fever Parade which saw carnivalists from the various carnival bands flood the streets to ‘play mas’ in brightly colored costumes as they strutted along the parade route to the sounds of the Soca music.

Joining the parade route this year were four Presidente sponsored float trucks which gave this year’s participants access to the best beer in the Caribbean and a chance to get up close and personal with a few Soca superstars as well.

“The Road March was an amazing experience” said Manuel Bartolo, Presidente Marketing Manager.

“We were extremely happy to have Fadda Fox, Farmer Nappy and Orlando Octave be a part of the Presidente party squad, they took pics, performed and interacted with our amazing fans who donned their Presidente gear on the route.”

As has been the case since the start of the local Carnival season, the Presidente brand was front and center during the weekend’s festivities.

Presidente Beer which is distributed by Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Company has become the leader for carnival events, playing host to numerous pre-carnival concerts across the island of New Providence.

Saturday’s road fever parade, which begin at 10am leaving from the famed Thomas A. Robinson Stadium culminated in a massive Bahamas Carnival Concert celebration on Arawak Cay that night.

“This year’s Bahamas Carnival was truly one for the record books and we are glad to have been a part of the experience” said Bartolo.

“We’re already excited about next year and hope to continue to offer fans of our product a superior entertainment experience and of course the best beer in the Caribbean.”
