Heightened presence by police pays off

An increased police presence in various crime hot-spots throughout New Providence within the past 96 hours have resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old male of Malcolm Allotment in connection to a recent murder in Nassau Village.
“Additionally, this male is being questioned with reference to possession of an unlicensed firearm and a stolen vehicle,” noted police press liaison officer Sargeant Chrislyn Skippings in a statement released yesterday.
Police also arrested eight males and one female for firearm possession. Ten illegal firearms were also taken off the streets.
