With an investment of over $1m in sports in 2017 alone, The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture recognized BTC as the National Sponsor of the Year for Sports for 2017.

The year was an epic one for the country, as it hosted a number of major international and national sporting events, and BTC was title sponsor for just about every single event.

The events included the IAAF/BTC World Relays, FIFA World Cup Beach Soccer Games, The Commonwealth Youth Games, CARIFTA Track and Field and Swimming Championships, Flag Football and Basketball Smiles.

BTC CEO Dexter Cartwright said, “BTC remains engrained in the community. Youth and sports are two major pillars in our community focus.

We want to ensure that our young people have the opportunities that they need to succeed. 2017 was an exceptional year for sports in this country and BTC was proud to be the official partner.”

In addition to its corporate sports sponsorships last year, BTC also continued its endorsement contracts Bahamian sports superstars including Shaunae Miller, Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace, Jonquel Jones, Ramon Miller and Demetrius Pinder. Photo Credit: Eric Rose.
