Scotiabank is spreading love to children with cardiovascular disease by sponsoring the Heart Ball. Ninety-seven percent of every dollar raised at the event directly impacts young persons with congenital heart abnormalities.
“The Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation does remarkable work in our community that sometimes goes unnoticed,” said Nakera Symonette, Senior Manager of Marketing and Public Relations at Scotiabank, Caribbean North District.
“This year marks the golden anniversary of the Golden Heart Award, by Lady Sassoon; I am very proud of my grandfather, Roderick Alphonso Simms, who left a lasting legacy behind as the 1988 recipient of this prestigious award.”
The 54th Annual Heart Ball is scheduled for this Saturday, February 17 in the Independence Ballroom at the Melia Nassau Beach Resort, Cable Beach. It is a Black Tie affair with cocktails at 7:15p.m. Dinner will be served at 8:30p.m.
