Labour Minister meets with Bahamas Hotel Catering and Allied Workers Union

The Minister of Labour, Senator the Hon. Dion Foulkes met with the President of The Bahamas Hotel Catering and Allied Workers Union (BHC&AWU), Ms. Nicole Martin and members of her executive team on Thursday, 25 January, 2018 at the Ministry of Labour on Shirley and Charlotte Streets. Also in attendance were Ms. Cecilia Strachan, Permanent Secretary (Acting) in the Ministry of Labour; Mr. Robert Farquharson, Director of Labour; Ms. Synida Dorsett, Chairperson of the Prices Commission; Mrs. Eugenia Cartwright, Deputy Financial Secretary in the Ministry of Finance; Mrs. Rosemary Pintard-Bowe of the Department of Inland Revenue and Mr. Ricardo Deveaux, First Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Labour.

Minister Foulkes and The Bahamas Hotel Catering and Allied Workers Union executives discussed a number of issues affecting hotel workers in the country.
