Building a better, and brighter tomorrow is a key core value of The Bahamas Striping Group of Companies through its philanthropic arm, The Dollar That Could Project.

The Dollar That Could Project, is committed to strengthening communities and have made it possible for over ten charities and non profit organisations to receive over one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) in the last three years.

The project began out of a need to assist non profit organisations as the company began to be inundated with phone calls and requests.

President, Atario Mitchell indicated that they realised that they could not help everyone, but as a company, they wanted to put their resources to come up with a program and events to raise funds which would be donated to charities to assist with their programs.

The Dollar That Could Project has funded BAARK, The Bahamas Humane Society, Special Olympics Bahamas, The Salvation Army, Rotary International Grand Bahama, The Grand Bahama Humane Society, and The Grand Bahama Children’s Home.

Managing Director, Dr. Allen Albury said, “We are excited to launch the 2018 campaign because we have realised the importance of being a social corporate partner and what we have realised as a company is that there is a widening gap of inequality, and there are a lot of needs out there.”

He also indicated that they are encouraging corporate Bahamas to be a part of this campaign and be involved in the project as this is a bridge because most of the charities receive attention during the holidays and the project donates throughout the summer months.

Charities and non profit organisations need consistent donations and funding filtering in to sustain their work throughout the country, and they can apply to be a part of the 2018 project by emailing a brief synopsis of their charity to thedollarthatcouldproject@gmail.com by February 8, 2018.
