The Minister of Transport and Local Government, the Hon. Frankie Campbell and a delegation represented The Bahamas recently at the Commonwealth Local Government Forum in Valletta, Malta.

Among the delegation was the Director of Local Government, Cephas Cooper; LaShanta Greenslade, Officer in charge of the Local Government Junior Council; and Roderick Pinder, President of The Bahamas Association of Local Government Authority.

The biennial event brings together top local government policy makers, practitioners and other stakeholders to meet and exchange ideas, information and good practice. This year’s conference was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta, on the theme “Fit for the Future: Resources and Capacity for Local Government.”
