Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Our members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 16,400 clubs in 141 countries that make up our global network of meeting locations.  Throughout the Islands of the Bahamas, there are a total of 36 clubs.

In celebration of “Toastmasters Month,” on Wednesday, October 4th 2017, representatives of Toastmasters International paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, GCMC, Governor General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Her Excellency encouraged everyone to find ways to encourage the nation’s youth to communicate love. She noted that, “In a society perplexed on every side love is indeed the answer.”

The delegation was led by Division’s F & I Directors Andre Kelly, DTM & Ivan Thompson, DTM, accompanied by their Area Directors, Chervez Brown, Tia-Maria Albury, Kendra Munroe, Garth Jackson Jr., and Lynette Bowleg. A few club executives were also in attendance, inclusive of Sheena Culmer, Kohfe Miller, Nikenya Rolle, Ancin Munnings, and Diandra Gibson.
